In-Person Worship Resumes!

Dear Church Family and Friends,

With great joy, we share the news that we will begin “in-person” worship on Sunday, January 24 at 8:45 AM.  Bishop Frank Beard and the members of the Extended Cabinet have lifted the suspension of in-person worship for churches in our region.
Since our region has entered Tier 2, these guidelines are recommended:

•    For regular worship gatherings, churches are strongly recommended but not required to limit their gatherings to 25 people or 25% of     the room capacity, whichever is smaller
•    For all other gatherings, including funerals and weddings, gatherings should be limited to 10 people or less
•    Church buildings can open with staff working the offices
•    In all situations, masks are required without a doctor’s certification that the person is exempt and social distancing of 6 feet or more should be observed.

These precautions are in place to ensure your safety.  Our hope is that you will be free from worry as you offer your worship to God.  We have relaxed some of the requirements to create a sense of normalcy in worship.  One change is that you currently will not need to register beforehand.  However, we will check attendance for contact tracing.  If we start to exceed the number of allowed worshippers (approximately 70 people) we will begin adding additional services.

Please keep in mind that those with compromised immunity, those with respiratory illness or injury, others who are at a higher risk of dying from COVID-19, those who have tested positive for COVID-19, and those who have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days should continue to remain isolated and avoid gatherings of any size until they are given the all-clear.

Also, we will continue to offer our radio and Facebook Live broadcasts for those who are unable or feel it would unsafe to attend in-person worship.

You can view the conference guidelines we have been following by going to the Pressing On document found at:  For current updates, you can also go to our conference’s website (, along with checking our Facebook page.

We look forward to seeing you in worship!  And one day we will see each other with unveiled faces!  The words of 2nd Timothy 1:4 come to mind, “…I long to SEE you so that I may be filled with joy.”
